An automatic pallet changer, located between a machine tool table to receive a first pallet (P1) and a pallet support (11) to receive a second pallet (P2), comprises a pallet exchanger arm (12) carried on a vertical support shaft (13) disposed between the pallet support (11) and the table, the exchanger arm (12) being rotatable about the axis of the support shaft (13) and movable up and down along the axis to engage engager blocks (14) of the pallets (P1) and (P2) and to changeover the positions of the first pallet (P1) and the second pallet (P2).
