PURPOSE:To easily read out the recording contents of an automatic answering telephone set. CONSTITUTION:An image storage 22 stores the images which are received in an automatic recording mode, and a voice storage 26 stores the received voices. The received images are synthesized 34 and recorded 36 with the information on the transmitter subscriber defined as a header. When the automatically recorded images are read out in an outside TV telephone system, a table-of- contents image of a monitor 50 consisting of only the header parts of images stored in the storage 22 is first transmitted. Then the image selected out of the table-of-contents image is read out of the storage 22 and transmitted. If the terminal of the opposite party side does not belong the TV telephone system, a message of the table of contents is transmitted in voice. |
