PURPOSE:To enable an observer to recognize a satisfactory stereoscopic picture by completely separating picture element information for right eye and that for left eye from each other. CONSTITUTION:The first picture element image array where first picture element images 7R exist with a black matrix image between them in the vertical direction and the second picture element array where second picture element images 7R exist with a black matrix image between them in the vertical direction are alternately placed in the horizontal direction by first and second projectors 3a and 3b. Second picture element images 7L are formed in positions which are shifted from first picture element images 7R in the vertical direction by 1/2 of a picture element pitch Pv, and black parts 14 are formed in parts where black matrix images are placed on this screen. |
