PURPOSE:To provide a non-aqueous secondary battery which presents a large discharge capacity, a high discharging operation voltage, and good charge/ discharge cyclic operating characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A non-aqueous secondary battery is composed of a positive electrode active material, negative electrode active material, and non-aqueous electrolyte containing lithium salt, wherein the negative electrode active material is a transition metal oxide capable of implanting and releasing lithium ions and is expressed by LipMOj, where M is at least one of Ti, V, Mn, Ni, Nl, Mo, (p) is 0-3.1, and j is 1.6-4.1. The process of manufacturing consists in baking of admixture of raw material compounds with the mean particle sizes ranging between 0.05-8mum (cumulated distribution 50% particle size). |
