PURPOSE:To provide the contactless automatic ticket examination machine having such high ticket examination processing capability that ticket examination is permitted for a contactless medium having proper data even in the case that the contactless medium is thrown to be used in erroneously like a magnetic medium. CONSTITUTION:A contactless automatic ticket examination machine 11 which performs the ticket examination processing of both the magnetic medium and the contactless medium is provided with a common throwing-in hole 16 to which both of media can be thrown in, a medium discriminating means 19 which discriminates the classification of the medium thrown into this common throwing-in hole 16, and a data processing means which leads the magnetic medium to a magnetic medium processing part 13 to perform the magnetic data processing at the time of discriminating the throwing-in of the magnetic medium by the medium discriminating means 19 and leads the contactless medium to a contactless medium processing part 12 to perform the contactless data processing at the time of discriminating the throwing-in of the contactless medium by the medium discriminating means 19. |
