PURPOSE:To improve the recording efficiency by providing information representing a block length in each block of digital data of plural block lengths and controlling an internal delay quantity or the like based on the information when a synchronizing signal is detected. CONSTITUTION:Delay means 81-83 delay digital data comprising a synchronizing signal, an identification number, block length data and plural block length data, holding means 87-89 latch plural digital data whose delay times differ from each other and shift digital data to be hold based on a detection output from a bit shift detection means 86. Selector detection means 90-92 detect identification numbers and sectors of the digital data and comparators 93, 94 compare them and a synchronization position correction means 95, 96 correct the position of the synchronizing signal based on the comparison result. When the synchronizing signal is detected from the digital data, an internal delay and a period or the like in the system detecting the synchronizing signal based on the information representing the block length are controlled. |
