<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle, which can be installed on a printed wiring board. SOLUTION: This receptacle includes an insulating member 10 having a first part, which extends from a base part 14 to an upper side 16, and a second part, which extends from a vertical part 12 in the direction crossing a terminal edge 20 and which has plural longitudinal slots 22, 24, 26, 28. Plural conductive contact means 46, 48, 50, 52 extend in parallel with the second part of an insulated contact inside of the longitudinal slot, and thereafter, extend in parallel with the first part of the insulating member 10. A conductive shield has a first side part, which is arranged on the upper side of the second part of the insulating member 10 so as to be overlapped therewith, and a second side part, which is separately arranged under the second part of the insulating member 10. A rear part of this shield extends downward from the first side part, and oppositely facing parts connect the first and the second side parts of the shield to each other, so as to form a cavity for receiving plug between the first and the second sides of the insulating member 10. A capacitor is arranged between the insulating member 10 and the rear side of the shield.</p> |
