PURPOSE:To suppress the increment of power consumption when a diversity reception system is applied to mobile equipment for mobile communications and to obtain stable reception characteristic in spite of the degree of change of fading. CONSTITUTION:A detection circuit 3 which outputs detection output and an envelope strength signal, and a detection circuit 4 provided with a power saving mode function are connected to a selection circuit 5 which selects by switching two antennas 1, 2. The degree of change of the fading is decided by a fading pitch decision circuit 6, and when steep change exists, demodulated output can be obtained by synthesizing output detecting the reception signals of the two antennas 1, 2 by two detection circuits 3, 4, respectively by a synthesis control circuit 7. When moderate change exists, the detection output can be obtained by selecting the two antennas by the detection circuit 3 by stopping the detection circuit 4 setting in a ceasing state. |
