PURPOSE: To stabilize silver halide and to prevent fogging by using a photothermic photographic compsn. contg. a photosensitive silver salt, an org. silver salt, a reducing agent for the org. silver salt and a specified stabilizer useful after processing. CONSTITUTION: This stabilizer is a stabilizer useful after processing, having a central nucleus represented by formula I or II and contained in a photothermic photographic compsn. contg. a photosensitive silver salt, an org. silver salt and a reducing agent for the org. silver salt when the top of a substrate is coated with the compsn. In the formulae I, II, each of R<1> -R<3> is H or methyl, R<4> is H or a 1-4C lower alkyl, each of R<5> and R<6> is H, an alkyl, a cycloalkyl or an aryl, R<5> and R<6> may form a ring having 4-12 atoms in combination with C to which they bond, each of R<7> and R<8> is H or a 1-4C lower alkyl and (n) is 0 or 1.
