发明名称 METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING FIRE
摘要 PURPOSE:To detect a fire at the early stage, especially, a fumigating fire with high precision by measuring an ion caused from a special material generated by the thermal decomposition of a vinyl chloride polymer, etc., at the early stage of the fire by using a mass spectrometer. CONSTITUTION:The mass spectrometer 11 is constituted of an ionizing part, a mass separating part, and an ion detecting part. Air sampled from a monitoring area is ionized first by the ionizing part. Subsequently, an ionized sample is separated by the mass separating part, and is analyzed by the ion detecting part. Besides the name of one material among benzene, toluene, naphthalene, acetic acid, and ethyl acetate is stored in a ROM 3, and the m/z value (mass number/number of charges) of the ion of that material is stored in the ROM 4. Then, the m/z value of the ion detected by the mass spectrometer is compared with the m/z value of the ion registered in a registering means, and when one, at least, of the m/z values of both sides coincides, it is judged to be a fire.
