PURPOSE:To keep potential by electrification per unit-area constant even in the case of changing the linear velocity of a photoreceptive body in order to switch recording linear density by main scanning with laser beam. CONSTITUTION:By using a scorotron electrifying device whose electrifier 31 is provided with an electrode wire W for electrification and a grid G installed on the part facing the peripheral surface of a photoreceptive drum installed in front of the wire W and changing a current value to the electrode wire W while keeping a voltage value to the grid G constant by the actuation of an electrification control part where the recording linear density switching signal is inputted, the potential by electrification impressed on the photoreceptive body of the photoreceptive drum 32 is kept at a fixed level. |
