The invention relates to the processes for recycling waste polystyrene foam (PSF) particularly by gelating defoaming, and for preparing modified polystyrene (MPS) or regenerating expandable polystyrene (EPS) beads with recycled polystyrene, which include to gelating defoam the PSF waste by adding the solvent mixture with high boiling point (> 100 DEG C) to get the gelating mass, then to recycle the solvent with the technical in the arts, and to prepare PS particles. The mass shall be extruded and cut to MPS particles in the case of adding the modified resin and other aids to the said mass prior to the dissolvent. Wherein the PS particles are grinded, sieved and fed into autoclave, in the meantime the liquid foam agent is also fed, then the mixture in the autoclave becomes regenerated EPS beads. |
