The invention relates to a box, serving as retail packaging, for dust-free packaging of a cassette provided with an image- and/or sound-recording medium, a book or a similar, substantially cuboid body. The box is provided with a closure mechanism which provides a dust-tight closure of the box and at the same time serves to seal the box. Once the box has been opened and the closure mechanism has been removed, the box can serve as a permanent storage box for the cuboid body. <IMAGE>
