PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material low in glossiness and excellent in water resistance and recording running properties. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer cotaining a colorless or light-colored basic dye and the coupler coming into contact with the dye to develop a color, an intermediate layer based on pigment and a binder and a protective layer are successively provided on a support, kaolin is added to the protective layer in an amt. of 30-70% by wt. of the total solid of the protective layer and silicon oxide wherein the average particle size of secondary aggregate is 1-3mum is added in an amt. of 5-30% by wt. of kaolin. |
