The combination system possesses receiving plates (1). These plates are provided, at the front side, in each case with a bearing bed, enclosed by a web-like frame (1a), for in each case one compact-disc case (2). An angle piece (1d) and a catch tongue (1e) further secure the case (2) in position. On the rear side, the receiving plates (1) have bearing seats (1g) into which connecting strips (3) fitted with counter-bearing seats can be inserted. By means of these, any number of receiving plates (1) can be joined together to form combinations of a great variety of geometrical shapes. The lid (2c) of an inserted case (2) can be opened for the purpose of removing a compact disc, without first having to displace the case (2). This advantage is achieved by means of the catch tongue (1e) engaging over the narrow case edge (2b). If the case (2) is, however, to be removed or replaced by another one, then it is pushed somewhat to the left against the angle piece (1d), which is of self-resilient construction, and tilted out from its seat from the right. <IMAGE>
