PURPOSE: To carry a multilayer web ribbon without slipping by a traction roll drive device low in structural height before it advances to a longitudinal folding reformer of a web rotary press. CONSTITUTION: A former distal guide roller 3 and a former proximal guide roller 2 to be driven to work on a multilayer web ribbon 10 on the same flat surface C or the different flat surfaces C; D arranged with an interval (a) from each other in the multilayer web ribbon traveling direction E are provided, and at least one set of traction roll sets 6 is provided between the former distal guide roller 3 and the former proximal guide roller 2. Additionally, the multilayer web ribbon 10 is partially wrapped around the former proximal guide roller 2 at an angleαand around the former distal guide roller 3 at an angleβ.
