PURPOSE: To provide a suction apparatus for surgery which can be repeatedly used while being partially discarded, without the leakage of the sucked material. CONSTITUTION: A suction apparatus comprises a container 1 having an inlet 11, and an outlet 10 connected to a vacuum pump 2, one edge of a suction tube assembly 4 comprising a main inner hole 40 and a sub-inner hole 41, is connected to the inlet 11 of the container 1, and the other edge comprises a suction controller 43, and a female joint 45 for connecting a suction catheter assembly 3. A valve 100 in the outlet 10 is connected to the suction controller 43 through the sub-inner hole 41. The negative pressure is added to one edge of the valve 100 by the vacuum pump 2 through a side part inner hole 106 to hold a valve in a closed condition against the force of a spring 107. The air is introduced into the valve 100 through the sub-inner hole 41, by operating the suction controller 43, whereby the valve 100 is opened by the spring 107, and the sucking action is added to the catheter assembly 3.
