METHOD OF HUME-PIPE BURYING CONSTRUCTION BY PROPULSIVE EXCAVATION, AND SELF-ADVANCING DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC SURVEY USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION

PURPOSE:To shorten the term of work of curve excavation and decrease personnel required for a survey, and to improve workability by obtaining the azimuth and coordinates of an excavator by a reflecting mirror and an automatic tracking type total station and correcting the direction of excavation. CONSTITUTION:Reflecting morrors are disposed on the inwalls of successively spliced Hume pipes from both sides, and an automatic tracking type total station 10 is loaded on a self- advancing truck 9 travelling in a trackless manner in the Hume pipes. The coordinates of the station 10 and the reflecting mirrors are acquired through a triangulation method by the reflecting mirrors and the station 10 while a reference reflecting mirror installed in a shaft is used as an origin. The truck 9 is moved forward and the azimuth and coordinates of the position of the excavation of a tunnel are obtained, the truck 9 is retreated, and forward movement and backward motion are conducted at every time among the pushing operation and pulling operation of a pushing Jack. Excavation operation is carried out while being controlled so as to coincide with the designed line of a tunnel at all atimes. An inclination is corrected automatically from a detecting signal by a self-advancing device for an automatic survey, and the attitude of the truck 9 at the time of the measurement of the station 10 on the truck 9 is stabilized previously.
