PURPOSE:To enhance the mechanical strength of an FRTP molded product by arranging comingle yarns in one direction in a sleeve for a fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin (FRTP) obtained by the hollow weaving of the comingle yarns consisting of reinforcing fibers and matrix fibers and the matrix fibers. CONSTITUTION:Each of comingle yarns 1 is constituted of reinforcing fibers and matrix fibers and the tex numbers of respective reinforcing fibers and matrix fibers are appropriately determined corresponding to the required content of the reinforcing fibers. A sleeve 2 for FRTP is a cylindrical one obtained by the hollow weaving of a plain fabric consisting of the comingle yarns 1 and the matrix fibers 3. Since the comingle yarns 1 are arranged in the same direction in the sleeve 2 for FRTP, the reinforcing fibers do not cross each other and voids or resin sumps are hardly generated in an FRTP molded product and the surface smoothness of the FRTP molded product can be enhanced. |
