PURPOSE:To facilitate the production of insulating glass and easily obtain an insulating glass capable of keeping high moistureproofness over a long period by using a metal frame having a U-shaped cross section as a tool for keeping the space in the insulating glass. CONSTITUTION:This insulating glass contains a space-keeping metal frame 3 having a U-shaped cross section. A sponge or a self-adhesive rubber containing a powdery dessicant is filled in the groove of the space-keeping metal frame 3. These frames can be bonded with each other simply by fitting a member coated with a low-melting metal to the outside of a U-shaped pipe and heating the assembly to melt the low-melting metal. Accordingly, the insulating glass is easily producible. The sponge and the self-adhesive rubber are preferably those made from an organopolysiloxane. |
