PURPOSE:To reduce the number of valves and simplify construction in a braking device for changing over a first master cylinder operated by a brake pedal and a second master cylinder operated by a motor through the valve. CONSTITUTION:First oil paths LFL, LFR, LR extending from a first master cylinder Mc1 are connected to a plurlity of second master cylinders Mc2 through a single simple structured switch valve 3. The second master cylinder Mc2 is connected to brake calipers CFL, CFR, CRL, CRR through second oil paths MFL, MFR, MR. Normally, braking is applied by closing the swich valve 3 to drive the second master cylinder Mc2 with a motor 7 and in the failure of a control system the braking is applied by opening the switch valve 3 to drive the second master cylinder Mc2 with brake oil pressure generated by the first master cylinder Mc1 with a brake pedal 1. |
