SOLUTION: The inverse color space conversion of pixel values in an image on an HVC color space synthesized by an image synthesizing part 105 to pixel values of color image composed of RGB or black-and-white image is performed by a color space converting part 103. After the color space conversion, the color image or the like is transferred to an image storage part 102. A smoothing processing part 104 performs smoothing processing to the image in the image storage part 102 after the color space conversion by means of the color space converting part 103. After smoothing processing, the image is transferred to the image storage part 102. The image synthesizing part 105 synthesizes images in the image storage part 102 before and after smoothing processing and transfers the result to the image storage part 102. An image output part 106 outputs the image stored in the image storage part 102 to output equipment.
