PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge one specific pulse of a current pulse burst having an amplitude larger than that of a pre-pulse current immediately before it by forming an electrolyte with a first solvent, a second solvent, a phosphate addi tive, and alkali metal salt equal or similar to the alkaline metal forming an anode. SOLUTION: A first solvent is ester, ether and dialkyl carbonate, and a second solvent is cyclic carbonate, cyclic ester and cyclic amide. A phosphate additive is a compound expressed by the formula (R<1> O)P(=O)(OR<2> )(OR<3> ), where R<1> , R<2> , R<3> are saturated or unsaturated organic atom groups of H, C1-3 , and about 0.001-0.40 M such as dibenzyl phosphate, tris(trimethylsilyl) phosphate or phosphoric acid is preferable. The potential subtracted with the minimum potential from one terminal potential of the pulse is below about 0.2 V. An electrolyte reducing or canceling the voltage delay of an alkali metal battery is obtained. |
