<p>PURPOSE:To use a rotary atomizing head type electrostatic spray coater in a state in which the degree of brightness and darkness and the adhesive efficiency in coating are increased, in a finish coating process of a metallic coating material. CONSTITUTION:Plural air jet holes 17, 17... of small diameter are formed in a shaping air ring 13. A sub air chamber 16 communicates with a main air chamber through communicative holes 22 of an auxiliary ring 21 with little pressure loss, and an annular groove 18 and communicative holes 19 of the shaping air ring 13. In this way, the velocity of shaping air is increased, causing the velocity of impingement of a coating material on a material to be coated to be increased, allowing the degree of brightness and darkness of the coated surface to be heightened. On the other hand, since the impingement is made with an angle (alpha+beta) of the air jet hole 17 to the outer peripheral surface of the rotary atomizing head 4 being <=45 deg., a coating pattern to the material to be coated is enlarged.</p> |
