PURPOSE:To obtain a method for producing a patterned molded piece having ribs and a beautiful decorative pattern on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:Three 2 mm thick single-color SMC 2 plies are laminated on a part provided with a large number of recessed grooves 111 on approximately the center of a molding face of a lower mold 11. Thereon, five 3 mm thick SMC 3 plies each having a marble grain pattern are laminated. These are compression molded under pressure and heat at a pressure of 50kg/cm<2>. An FRP-made waterproof pan having a beautiful marble grain pattern without distorsion is obtained. In this pan, ribs on the bottom surface are made of a single-color SMC, and the surface is made of SMC having a decorative pattern. |
