PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet printing device, with which efficient printing process is possible, and its method by a method wherein printing mechanism and the conveying mechanism of printing medium are provided independently and both the mechanisms are synchronized with each other. CONSTITUTION:The ink jet printing device concerned prints by scanning printing medium to the predetermined direction with a plurality of printing heads and has a fabric feeder 3002 having conveying mechanism for conveying printing medium and an ink jet recording section 3001, which is independent of the fabric feeder 3002 and performs recording onto the printing medium conveyed with the fabric feeder 3002 by ink jetting method. Further, the ink jet recording section 3001 and the fabric feeder 3002 respectively communicate with each other by means of the predetermined communication protocols.
