PURPOSE:To obtain a hyaluronidase inhibitor, containing an extract separated from a plant belonging to the family Anacardiaceae as an active ingredient and having antiinflammatory and antiallergic actions. CONSTITUTION:This hyaluronidase inhibitor contains an extract obtained by extracting the whole herb, tree bark, heart wood, a leaf, a flower, a seed, a stem, a root, etc., of a plant belonging to the family Anacardiaceae such as Galla Rhois, Semi carpus anacardium or Pistacia intergerrima with a solvent such as water, alcohols or ketones as an active ingredient. The extract is directly used or, together with a well-known medicinal carrier, prepared into an oral agent such as a tablet, a granule, a powder or a syrup or a parenteral agent such as a suppository or an external preparation. Otherwise, it can be contained in a food and usually ingested to prevent and improve inflammations or swelling in the throat caused by the cold, pollinosis, cough, etc., and similarly contained in a cosmetic to improve the pruritus, etc., of the skin. |
