<p>PURPOSE: To provide a tobacco product, particularly a cigarete with excellent quality which is manufactured by adopting a pressure-extended leaf piece and/or the main rib of a tobacco leaf or a short leaf piece as a basis on the whole or partially, is provided with improved packaging and a desirable density degree at the time of executing measurement by means of a compression rate measuring instrument and is comfortably smoked without requiring excessive force in smoking. CONSTITUTION: A cigarete manufacturing machine 1 provided with a cam 3 having at least one additional support surfaces (32A, 33A, 34A and 35A) and one can is provided so that the plural areas 22 of a rod is compressed before operating the trimming 15 of the rod 20. Thus, the tobacco density withint the areas 22 is hightened. The cigaret including more than one areas 22 where the tobacco density is hightened by the method is provided with a uniform compression property value being equivallent to the normal cigaret.</p> |
