The invention relates to a washing machine, particularly for domestic use, which works with a clearly reduced water consumption as a result of a return of the rinsing water. The water-collecting tank or tanks is or are designed so that vibrations which occur are damped substantially more effectively and the otherwise conventional compensating masses become superfluous. Because of the absence of compensating masses, the machine, which works clearly more cost-effectively during operation is also cheaper to transport and can be recycled in a simpler way.
