摘要 The fuel engines currently in operation function by means of a crankshaft and generally require inlet and exhaust valves. It is proposed to replace this expensive construction with a simple system by which it is intended to increase the power and the efficiency. The new system comprises a housing, in which a rotor with fixed cams is supported. One or more rotary cylinders with corresponding cylinder bores and pistons are supported on fixed hollow shafts around the said rotor. The air feed, the injection nozzle and the spark plug for the associated rotary cylinder are accommodated in the hollow shafts. When the rotor begins to move the cam of the rotor in front of the rotary cylinder forces a piston of the rotary cylinder into the cylinder bore and compresses the air present in the said cylinder. This is followed by ignition and the piston and the cam are forced out of the cylinder liner. Since the cam now lies behind the "rotary cylinder-rotor" centre line, the piston continues to press the cam and the rotor is kept in rotational movement. The sphere of application is motive power engineering.
