Thermoplastic elastomeric block copolymers of general formula BDB' (I) or of general formula (B"E)nX, wherein each of B,B',B" comprises a substantially linear, substantially pure polyethylene block, having a melting temperature ~ 110.degree.C, as determined via differential scanning calorimetry; D and E are substantially linear elastomeric polymer blocks being, substantially free from olefinic unsaturation; the molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of B,BD, BDB',B" and B"E is ~ 2; X is a terminal coupling agent-based entity and n is an integer ~ 2.
