<p>Physiologically acceptable organic aerogels, including pyrolysed aerogels, for use in medicine, for example as diagnostic agents, artificial tissues, organs and organ components etc., and in particular in drug delivery systems. Use of biodegradable organic aerogels, which are themselves novel materials, is preferred e.g. for materials such as diagnostic and therapeutic agents for parenteral administration.</p> |
