A heatable roll for calenders, glazing rollers, etc. has heating passages (8) with connection systems (9, 13) at the ends. Each connection system (9, 13) comprises at least two connection passages (18, 19, 20; 23, 24, 25) which start from a common space (10, 14) and open into the heating passage (8) at different distances from the end (21, 26) of the roll and can be brought into action individually by means of a selection device (22, 27).
