Idling charge regulator of an internal combustion engine

A description is given of an idling charge regulator with an adjusting device driven by electric motor, which device, by way of a crank gear moves the throttle element adjusting a free passage cross-section. The throttle element is designed as piston guided in a cylinder, which piston in its top dead centre position bears on a diaphragm. The said diaphragm, which has an air passage opening, which is closed in the top dead centre position, bears on the wall of the idling air passage. An optimum tightness is thereby obtainable and the required idle air quantity can be optimally metered by virtue of the crank gear.
