Cable-storage module for optical waveguides

A first variant of the cable-storage module (1) can be pushed into a push-in unit (9). A jumper cable (8) is wound up, in the drawn-out state, around a coil former (4). Laterally open cable bushings (5, 6) for the jumper cable (7) provided with a plug (8) are provided in the front panel (10). In a second variant of the cable-storage module, termed folding-storage module (21), there is located on one side of said module an s-shaped guide groove (25) which has a transition (26) to the opposite side on which, in turn, a coil former (23) is provided. This design serves to deflect the jumper cable (7), which is thus guided in the lower part of the folding-storage module and consequently, in the folded-in state, causes no problems as far as a now superfluous length of cable is concerned. <IMAGE>
