Monorail trolley with low overall height and short clearances

A monorail trolley (5) has a travelling gear (6) on which a total of four running rollers (14a...14d) are mounted. One of the running rollers is driven by a traction motor (7) which is fastened to the travelling gear in a laterally projecting position. Arranged in the travelling gear (6) is an intermediate frame (29) in which a deflection sprocket (34) is rotatably mounted. The lifting-gear drive (8) is located below the running rail and projects on the other side than that of the traction motor (7). In addition, a pressure roller (43) is located on the end of the intermediate frame (29) opposite the lifting-gear drive (8). The pressure roller (43) acts centrally between the adjacent running rollers (14) and prevents pronounced tilting of the travelling gear (6) as a result of the weight of the lifting-gear drive (8). <IMAGE>
