Domestic circulating-air upright freezer with insertable insulating partition plate

The insulating partition plate required for division of the freezing compartment, and drawers which may thus possibly become superfluous, are to be stowed in a space-saving and ordered fashion and be accessible quickly and conveniently to the user, if needed. In the case of known appliances, there is no provision for this. In the case of the domestic circulating-air upright freezer according to the invention, the partition plate (6) mentioned is employed instead of a freezing tray (4) arranged at half height of the appliance. The freezing tray (4), thus not required, is accommodated in a positionally secure manner within a deepened recess of the appliance door (7). When the freezing compartment is fully utilised and the freezing tray (4) inserted, the partition plate (6), which is now no longer required, is likewise stowed fixedly in the aforementioned door recess. Insulating partition plates serve to divide the freezing compartment when the circulating-air upright freezers are not fully occupied, and produce very substantial energy savings. <IMAGE>
