A pyrotechnic device (1) is proposed for detonating at least two charges (4) which can be fired in sequence and can be inserted into holes in a retaining device (3) until they are against an end stop. The special features of this device are that the holes (6) in the retaining device (3) which are filled with charges (4) can be moved into a precise firing position automatically by the firing of a preceding charge (4). A common detonating channel (19), which, for its part, is operatively connected to a firing charge (21), can be moved into position with respect to all the charges (4) or the corresponding retaining holes (6). <IMAGE>
