The stream of air striking the wiper causes annoying wind noises, particularly at high travelling speeds. In order to reduce the noise the invention proposes a wiper having a bow and a wiper blade held in the bow, at least one strip running along the side of the bow and parallel thereto being provided with a border designed at least in part like a brush essentially perpendicularly with respect to the air stream.
