Relating to a method of manufacturing a magnetic powder of an R-Fe-B alloy having an excellent magnetic anisotropy by causing the alloy to absorb hydrogen and then dehydrogenizing the alloy and a method of manufacturing a magnetic powder of an R-Fe-B-Co alloy having excellent magnetic anisotropy and temperature characteristics, there is provided a method of manufacturing a stabilized magnetic alloy powder having excellent magnetic properties and a small variation of the magnetic properties in industrial production adopting a hydrogen absorption process under pressure and using a plurality of slit type reaction tubes. There is further provided an R-Fe-B-Co alloy magnetic powder having excellent magnetic anisotropy and temperature characteristics. The structure of the powder is a crystalline texture whose main phase is a recrystallization structure of fine R2Fe14B phase of a mean particle diameter of 0.05 - 3 mu m. Moreover, a resin-bonded magnet having excellent magnetic properties and temperature characteristics is provided by injection molding or compression molding by use of the R-Fe-B-Co alloy magnetic powder. <IMAGE>
