A method of coupling steering movement of two outboard motors is described. Firstly, mount a first end of a flexible push-pull control cable to a boat adjacent a primary outboard motor. The first end has a protruding first push-pull rod. Secondly, mount a second end of the flexible push-pull control cable to the boat adjacent an auxiliary outboard motor. The second end has a protruding second push-pull rod. Thirdly, connect the first push-pull rod to the primary outboard motor. The first push-pull rod moves inwardly and outwardly relative to the first end of the flexible push-pull control cable with the motion of the primary outboard motor thereby resulting in an equal and opposite movement of the second push-pull rod which is coupled with the first push-pull rod through a flexible interior cable extending through the flexible pushpull control cable. Fourthly, connect the second push-pull rod to the auxiliary outboard motor. As the second push pull rod moves inwardly and outwardly relative to the second end of the flexible push-pull cable the auxiliary outboard motor is moved as a slave to the primary outboard motor.
