INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM BASED UPON UNIDIRECTION LARGE QUANTITY COMMUNICATION

PURPOSE:To enable a listener to join a broadcasting program by providing an information processing means on the receiving side relatively with a storage medium capable of storing required programs. CONSTITUTION:A sound signal and control data transmitted from a broadcasting station 10 on the transmitting side are frequency-modulated to up stream frequency by a transmitter 21 in a satellite transmission station (global station) 20 and transmitted to a broadcasting satellite 30 through a transmission antenna 22. An information processing unit 70 in a listener's home on a reciving side is an equipment having a picture processing function such as a personal computer and a television game equipment and an information storage medium 80 such as a cartridge or a floppy disk is attachably/detachably mounted on the unit 70. A sound signal outputted from a decoder 50 and a picture signal outputted from the unit 70 are imparted to a picture display device 90 such as a television receiver or a CRT. Processing obtained by changing original processing based upon a program stored in the medium 80 is executed based upon control data.
