PURPOSE:To discriminate properly a High Vision signal from other signals distinguishingly. CONSTITUTION:A binary counter 12 counts the number of horizontal synchronizing signals included in a television signal whose signal type is to be discriminated in the unit of one vertical scanning period. Either of a 5-th bit count output (output of Q5) or a 6-th bit count output (output of Q6) and a 10-th bit count output (output of Q10) in an output of the binary counter 12 are ANDed and a High Vision signal and a clear vision signal are discriminated based on the output of a NAND gate circuit 13. |
