<p>PURPOSE:To light incandescent lamps with high efficiency by supplying electric power to the incandescent lamps while dividing the power into extremely small quantities. CONSTITUTION:When small tungsten halogen lamps LA-LF having large light emitting intensity are lighted continuously, common commercial electric power supply is stepped down once, and electric power is supplied from a DC electric power supply 10. In order to heighten electric power efficiency, electric power supplied to the lamps LA-LF is supplied by a control mechanism 16 by dividing it alternately into extremely small time quantities. For example, when the electric power is supplied to the lamp LA, though the other lamps are put in an unsupplied condition, since time of the unsupplied condition is extremely short, a filament of an incandescent lamp is not cooled until it is put in a light unemitting condition, so that a lighting condition can be maintained substantially. Similarly, incandescent lamps LB, LC, LD, LE and LF are switched alternately to/from each other by respective switching mechanisms 121 and 122 through a control mechanism 16.</p> |
