<p>PURPOSE:To provide a time-sharing type FM radar system which can reduce the power consumption of an entire system and interference between channels, at the same time achieve a high detection accuracy over a wide range based on the number of installed systems of limited beam radiation means, and reduce the number of components and manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION:The title FM radar system is provided with a beam transmission/reception means 10a-10d for receiving reflected waves by applying the beams of nearly identical radiation patterns while partially overlapping them, an FM signal generation part 20, and a transmission switch circuit 31 for successively distributing one part of the FM signal to each of the beam radiation means 10a-10d while amplifying it intermittently at a different timing. Further, it is provided with a reception switching circuit 41 consisting of amplifiers 41a and 41d for amplifying and outputting the reception signal received from the beam transmission/reception means 10a-10d, a single mixer 42 for mixing and detecting the output RXa-RXd and one part of FM signal, and means 51, 52, and 53 for detecting the distance and azimuth of an object based on the level and frequency of beat signal which is output from it.</p> |
