PURPOSE: To improve the high-frequency shielding property of a network cable with a compact constitution by providing the fingers of connectors and a series of connecting strips on one surface of an insulating substrate and a circuit for adjusting electric signal connected to contact strips on the substrate. CONSTITUTION: An inserting device 28 is usually sandwiched between connectors 10 and 12 inserted into each other. Therefore, the route of a signal from the finger contact of one connector can be redesignated selectively to the other connector inserted into the first-mentioned connector through a circuit on a substrate 30. For example, the route of the signal of one contact finger 18 of the connector 10 which is in contact with a strip 44a is designated to a contact strip 38 through a capacitor 52 and the strip 38 is then connected to one finger 24 of the connector 12. In addition, the inserting device 28 can be positioned by sliding the device 28 on the connector 10 and frictionally putting the device 28 on an insulating post 14 and contact fingers 16 and 18 in the periphery of the post 14.
