<p>PURPOSE: To detect causes of various faults in an ECU-controlled throttle, an injector, or other fuel feed actuators by comparing a first or a forth signal expressing the positions of an operator-controlled master control unit and its slaved actuator. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a transmission part controlled by an operator, or a master controller, and a fuel controller having a control unit 4 or ECU generally based on a microprocessor and a receiver unit controlled by the control unit and positioning a throttle device. A logic means sensing faults of the transmitter part or the receiver unit and reacting thereto is also included therein. This device compares signals 12, 17, 15, 16 expressing the positions of the operator-controlled master control unit 4 and a slaved actuator to sense the existence/nonexistence of faults.</p> |
