<p>PURPOSE:To achieve starting control even without providing a starting device separately by controlling the speed of the rotor of a generator based on the output of a rotating phase angle detector and an instrument transformer. CONSTITUTION:A second circuit breaker 18 is turned on while a first circuit breaker 16 is off and then three phases of a primary side winding Ia of a generator 1 are short-circuited by a three-phase short-circuiter 17, thus functioning a secondary side winding 1b similarly as the primary winding of a general induction motor and constituting it as an induction motor. Then, an AC output power converter 13 controls the speed of a rotor 1c of the generator 1 and then starts and accelerates the generator 1 according to a rotating phase angle thetar of the rotor 1c which is calculated by the input signal from a rotating phase angle detector 3 and a rotational speed Wr which is calculated by the input signal from the rotational speed detector 3, stops the AC output power converter 13 when the rotational speed of the rotor 1c exceeds the synchronous speed of a generation system 4, turns off a second circuit breaker 18, and then releases the short-circuiting of the primary winding 1a of the generator 1. Therefore, starting control can be performed even without providing the starting device separately.</p> |
