PICTURE COMPRESSION CODING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A picture compression coding device is provided to conveniently search compressed picture data by generating data showing contour of frame picture and multiplexing the data to a predetermined location of packet. CONSTITUTION: A picture compression coding device includes a first compression coder(10), a low resolution converter(12), a second compression coder(14) and multiplexer(16). The first compression coder compresses and codes picture data of a predetermined unit by a predetermined compression coding method. The low resolution converter converts the picture data into picture data of low resolution. The second compression coder compresses and codes low resolution picture data by a predetermined compression coding method. The multiplexer performs time-sharing multiplexing to the compressed picture data provided from the first compression coder and the compressed picture data of low resolution provided from the second compression coder.
