PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized steel shearing machine having a high shearing capacity. CONSTITUTION:Shearing blades are mounted on a lower jaw 4 and an upper jaw 5, which can be crossed and opened and closed mutually, respectively. Lower edge blades 24 and lower root blades 25 installed to the lower jaw 4 are arranged in an inverted V shape and zigzag with a shearing surface as the center, and upper dege blades 30 and upper root blades 31 set up to the upper jaw 5 are disposed in a V shape and zigzag with the shearing surface as the center. A stepped section 26 and a clearance 27 are formed at least one place among the lower edge blades 24 and the lower root blades 25, and a stepped section 32 and a clearance 33 are formed at least one place among the upper edge blades 30 and the upper root blades 31.
